For nearly half a millennia, the Galactic Commonwealth was a unifying force in the galaxy until an alliance of worlds formed the Centaurus Pact in an attempt seceded, condemning the peoples of the galaxy to decades of total war. For Lieutenant Jenna Carter though, a loyal operative of the Commonwealth, the war had become a fact of life. A trained SIF assassin, she was accustomed to to doing whatever she had to do if it meant the trillions of people across thousands of worlds were kept safe from the horrors of the Pact’s advance.

But when the SIF send her to the allied world of Stratyhs, Jenna soon finds herself pitted against a Guardian of Reality. She finds herself trapped in the middle of a dangerous game forcing her to choose between her loyalty to the Commonwealth and a stranger claiming to be straight out of the myths and legends of the more primitive worlds. But an even greater force is at work than either side knows as something long forgotten is stirring in the dark.

The SIF and the Guardians are walking into a trap, and Jenna finds herself caught in the middle. Thrust into a world of time travel, reality altering monsters, and without the SIF to back her, the rules that kept her alive no longer apply. Left without anyone she can trust, exiled to a ship with the strangest mission she’s ever encountered, and the sins of the Commonwealth’s past returned, Jenna must face the hardest battle of her life or risk the whole universe falling into the void.
